Frequently Asked Questions
• What is hand smocked?
Smocking is an embroidery technique used to gather fabric so that it can stretch. Hand smocking means each stitch is done by hand.
• How do I know what size to order?
Please see our sizing guide to check what size you need for your lovely little. We always recommend sizing up if you’re unsure or in between sizes!
• How long is the wait for custom name smocks?
Please note that our current lead time is approximately 14 weeks.
While we always strive to deliver your items as early as possible, production times may vary due to manufacturer delays or high order volumes. In some cases, the wait time may extend beyond 14 weeks. If you’re ordering for a special occasion, we strongly recommend placing your order well in advance to ensure timely delivery.
• What do I do if there is a loose thread on the smocked plate?
If you notice a loose thread on the smocked area, we recommend gently trimming it with small scissors or using a needle to carefully guide it back through the fabric.
This is a normal occurrence with hand-smocked garments and does not affect the quality or durability of the piece.
• Why is my outfit a slightly different color than the Pre-Order mockup?
While we work closely with our manufacturers to ensure each piece meets our standards, slight variations in color or smocking design may occur.
These subtle differences are a natural part of the handcrafted process and reflect the unique artistry of each garment.
